From either its foundation within 1864 until 2001 a Victoria Racing Club was a responsible authority for the conduct of pureblood racing in the State of Victoria, Australia. Since 2001 this role has been managed by Racing Victoria Limited.

A VRC is managed by an unpaid committee, elected by club members.

Inside 187Ace the Victorian Government appointed a VRC when trustees of a places of 352 estate (1.Little joe kilometre²) of Crown Land, next to the Maribyrnong River, which became known as Flemington Racecourse. Great deal of the early profits of the VRC is attributed to the administration of the number 1 Secretary of the club, Robert C. Bagot & his successor Henry Byron Moore.

Racing Carnivals
A Victoria Racing Club hosts quatern race meetings at Flemington when you took a Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. A Melbourne Ventral suction cup is do on a number 1 Tuesday within November, the Victoria Derby and MacKinnon Stakes are held on a Saturday before a Melbourne Ventral suction cup, the VRC Oaks is on a Thursday ensuing a Ventral suction cup, & Wager day is on the Saturday following the Oaks.

A VRC besides hosts race meetings in a period of the Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival. These meetings include Class action One races for the Australian Cup, the Newmarket Handicap and the Lightening Stakes.
